Eternally Young Skin

The Egyptians, Greek and Romans knew that milk was beneficial to the skin, and some women of high society bathed in goat’s or donkey’s milk. It was said that they would keep their skin forever young that way. It’s not necessary to go to such extremes, but it is true that milk baths are beneficial for the skin.
At Silly Billy Goat Farm we make our soap with freshest Goat’s milk from our heard using natural and organic ingredients you can trust. We make fragrant soap as well as unscented soaps for sensitive skin.
Milk a is common food and has been consumed by humans since ancient times. The most frequently consumed types are cow’s, goat’s and sheep’s milk. Cow’s milk is directly consumed and is also used to make cheese and other dairy products. Sheep’s and Goat’s milk are mainly used to make cheese. Goat’s milk is often recommended if you have a milk allergy, because it contains less casein (a type of protein that can cause allergies on some people) than cow’s milk. Also, the size of the protein in goat’s milk is much smaller and easier to digest.
Lactic acid, which occurs naturally in milk, is also widely used in cosmetics. It produces considerable results when used to treat a variety of skin disorders. Goat milk soap is well known for its creamy lather and skin-loving properties. Goat milk is particularly nourishing because of capric-caprylic triglyceride, which helps to form a barrier on the skin and prevent the loss of moisture. Goat milk also contains vitamins A, D and B6, as well as lactic acid which is thought to contribute to skin smoothness. The fat molecules in goat’s milk form smaller structures than those in other kinds of milk. Therefore, it does not form a thick cream layer, is more digestible and is a leading ingredient in cosmetics. Goat’s milk contains lipoproteins that help transport nutrients into cells; it also gives the soap a soft, special texture.
